Production Engineer/Improvement Manager
Salary: Circa £40,000 depending on experience

This business has now expanded to three sites but with expansion in their product areas there is much re-organisation to be done. You will have the opportunity to effect change here. Your main objective will be to provide and implement an effective manufacturing transformation and for improving all manufacturing processes following the move and re-alignment of the plant’s activities.
What will be keeping you busy?
Whilst you will not have direct people management responsibility, your decisions will impact 30-40 staff working across three shifts, you will work closely with Cell Leaders and Operations Managers to influence changes across production flow lines.
Working in an industrial environment you will have responsibility for:
- Process design development and implementation (applying lean methodology if appropriate)
- Implement change and improvements to the process, documenting and training where necessary
- Analysing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
- Maximise time and efficiency, whilst not impacting on quality.
Who are we looking for?
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and improvement focused, with a passion for and knowledge of lean manufacturing (5 s’s). You will have a minimum of HNC/HND in and Engineering discipline (degree preferred). Ideally you will be able to demonstrate significant experience in a similar role, leading and delivering improvement projects in an industrial setting.
